Reading Glasses Needed: The medical team needs reading glasses and used prescription glasses to distribute to patients attending the clinics they will be holding in Santa Elena and Los Pinos, Honduras. Inexpensive reading glasses can be purchased at the Dollar Tree or a discount store. Please place them in the appropriate box by the office at the church on or before Sunday, February 12.
Souper Bowl Sunday Lunch. Please join us for a Souper Bowl Sunday Lunch, on February 5th at 12:00 in the Fellowship Hall. If you think you have what it takes to be the Fairview Chili Champion, bring it on! Bring your favorite chili to the Fellowship Hall before the 11:00 a.m. service so we will have time to choose a champion. Along with the chili, soup and sandwiches will be served. Who will be the 2012 Fairview Chili Cook-off Champion? Please bring a can of food or a cash contribution to be donated to CMONA.
Women’s Ministry. On Tuesday evening, January 31st, at 6:00, in the fellowship hall we are having a meeting to discuss how to revitalize our women's ministry. Renee Howell, a speaker from Mangrove Ministries, will be there to help us design or rejuvenate our ongoing women's ministry and programs. We would like for you to be there, and if you would like to invite someone else to come with you that will be wonderful. This is open to anyone in our church who is interested in this effort. Please bring a light supper (salad and/or sandwiches).
Fairview is having a Mardi Gras dinner in the fellowship hall on Saturday, February 18th at 6:30 pm. All are invited! See next week’s Nuts and Bolts for details.
Annual Reports are due by February 7th. You may email them to Charlene Usry.

The Fairview Early Childhood Center
January 2012 Newsletter here
The Fairview Early Childhood Center is collecting Box Top Coupons as a fundraiser for our school. These coupons appear on many food and other products that we all use every day. This is a very easy way to make money for the center. We made $315 from our last collection of coupons. There will be a manila envelope on the bulletin board in the hallway outside the church offices. We really appreciate all the support from those who already collect coupons and those who are willing to start.

Fairview's Mission Program
Fairview has carried on its mission in North Augusta since 1946. Our desire is to help men, women, children, and youth to become active followers of Jesus Christ. This is a place where you and your questions are taken seriously. Throughout the week, the Fairview family enjoys many regularly scheduled activities as well as special opportunities for worship, learning, fellowship and service. Fairview has been known for our emphasis on missions. We have always had a part in the overseas effort and currently support 17 missionaries at home and abroad.
In the community, Fairview has been known for our continued support and leadership in social action. Fairview participated in the beginning of CMONA, the Community Ministry of North Augusta. We participate in GAP (Give, Act, Pray), Ministries of Presbyterians and other churches in the CSRA serving people in need. Fairview has participated in inner city Vacation Bible Schools, Christian Youth in Action (a ministry to children) and The Master's Table soup kitchen. For years we have served as a congregant meal site for Meals-On-Wheels and host Narcotics and Gamblers Anonymous.
